Dungeon
What waits behind a gate: different rooms every time, a boss, and rewards.
Behind every gate lies a dungeon. Each party that enters gets its own dungeon (an instance): nobody else comes to bother you.
A different dungeon every time
The dungeon is made of hand-built rooms, assembled at random on each entry, followed by a boss arena matching the gate’s theme. Two visits to the same gate never look alike.
In the top right of the screen, a tracker shows the current room, the monsters left, the boss, the respawns left and how long others can still join you.
Rewards
| Reward | When |
|---|---|
| Experience | Always |
| Mana crystals | Always |
| Equipment | Depending on luck, more often in high-rank gates |
Once the boss is down, there is no chest: the SYSTEM shows a “GATE CLOSED” window listing your gains, then an exit portal appears. Loot is personal: everyone gets their own. Nothing is lost if you close the window or step through the portal.
Dying in a dungeon
The party shares three respawns, and the Priest can resurrect allies. Everything is explained in Death and respawns.
Giving up
You can leave a dungeon at any time with “Leave the gate” (Escape menu) or /ryft quitter, after confirming. You then leave without the end rewards.
Disconnection
If you lose your connection, your place waits for you for 5 minutes. Come back in time and you resume where you were, with the rewards of any victory won while you were away. Otherwise, you respawn in town.
